This biannual event is always one of my favorites, not only because it’s for a beautiful cause, helping so many families and individuals who have been affected by cancer, but also because it’s a great group of people to work with and it’s a fun group of people who attend. Attendance grows from year to year and it’s become one of the hottest tickets in town, raising thousands of dollars for those in need. It is always held in a huge tent built upon a sand-filled riding ring on a picturesque horse farm. Jugglers and acrobats lined the walkway to the Main Tent, while an adjoining Beer Tent awaited those who wanted to venture into the world of IPA beer tasting. A live auction raised lots of money for grants, and a performance by a Neil Diamond cover band entertained the 1000 guests in attendance and got them all up and dancing. Late night bites were brought in later in the evening for the party that lasted well into the wee hours of the morning.
