Brian Dawkins of the Philadelphia Eagles is a pretty amazing and inspiring guy, so I needed to plan and design an amazing and inspired Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction party for him. While meeting with he and his lovely wife, Connie, I discovered that they love all things Caribbean. Caribbean food. Caribbean music, Caribbean colors. Connie even cooked me some of her favorite family recipes for lunch one day, and Brian played some of his favorite Reggae, which gave me a strong sense of the culture they love. We designed a vibrant, color-saturated party with a dramatic multicolor palm leaf patterned ceiling and white modern furniture mixed with lots of wooden and rattan accent pieces. Reggae and hip-hop played in sync with the lighted LED dance floor which created exciting moving patterns as the guests danced. Giant palm leaves, tropical flowers, and fresh fruits were used throughout, and bountiful food stations filled with traditional island fare were placed throughout the space. One focal point of the party, besides Brian himself, of course, was a huge, multi-tiered dessert display that was covered in every possible dessert in a rainbow of flavors and colors.
